NovaGround won’t accept applications from anyone under 13. If a child under 13 years old needs help, the parent must contact NovaGround.

WhatsApp is used for communication.
Supervisors are admins and are able to see chat history and remove members.

ХТО МОЖЕ БУТИ НАСТАВНИКОМ
Наставником може стати людина будь-якого віку, яка пройшла співбесіду
та перевірку двох рекомендацій.
Наставники молодші за 18 років беруть участь лише за згодою власних батьків.
ЯК МИ ПІДБИРАЄМО ПАРИ
Пари формуються за віком:
Учасник 13–15 років — наставник до 18 років, різниця не більше 3 років
Учасник 16–17 років — наставник до 21 року, різниця не більше 4 років
Учасник 18+ — наставник будь-якого віку
Дорослий наставник ніколи не працює один на один з дитиною молодше
16 років. Волонтери, які не підходять за віком, допомагають з
воркшопами, перекладом та ресурсами.
ЯК МИ СПІЛКУЄМОСЯ
Кожна пара має спільний чат: наставник, учасник і координатор NovaGround
усе спілкування відбувається лише в цьому чаті
особисті повідомлення заборонені, в обидва боки
ми не використовуємо платформи зі зникаючими повідомленнями
наставник не додає учасника в особисті соціальні мережі
батьки завжди мають ім'я та контакт наставника
зустрічі наодинці поза межами програми не дозволені
якщо наставник напише учаснику особисто, участь у програмі
припиняється негайно.
ЧОГО НАСТАВНИК НЕ РОБИТЬ
Не дає психологічних, юридичних чи медичних порад.
Не возить учасника в машині наодинці.
Не дає і не приймає подарунки чи гроші.
Не просить і не надсилає фотографії приватного характеру.
Не просить учасника тримати щось у секреті від батьків.
Не вступає в романтичні чи сексуальні стосунки з учасником
ЯКЩО УЧАСНИК РОЗПОВІДАЄ ПРО ЩОСЬ СЕРЙОЗНЕ
Наставник не розслідує і не обіцяє зберегти таємницю.
Скажіть просто:
«Я не та людина, яка може з цим допомогти, але я знаю, хто може.
дозволь, я підключу координатора прямо зараз.»

ENGLISH SUMMARY
Mentors may be any age. All are interviewed and have two references
checked. Mentors under 18 participate only with their own parents’ consent.
Pairs are matched by age. Participants aged 13–15 are matched only with mentors under 18, within three years.
Participants aged 16–17 are matched with mentors under 21, within four years.
An adult mentor is never paired one-to-one with a child under 16.
Every pair communicates in a single group chat that includes the NovaGround coordinator. Private messages are not allowed in either direction. If a mentor messages a participant privately, they will be removed from the programme immediately.
We do not use platforms with disappearing messages. Parents always have the mentor's name and contact details.
Mentors do not give psychological, legal, or medical advice, do not meet participants alone, do not exchange gifts or money, do not request private photographs, and never ask a participant to keep something secret from their parents.
Romantic or sexual contact with a participant is prohibited under all circumstances.
If a participant discloses something serious, mentors do not investigate and do not promise confidentiality. They say so honestly and bring in the coordinator immediately.
Mentors under 18 are never expected to carry this alone.

Information about minors
We collect names, contact details, and brief background information from mentorship participants, including people under 18, only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
This is stored in Google Forms and Google Sheets and is accessible only to the programme coordinator and the named safeguarding contact.
We do not sell, share or publish it.
Mentorship group chats are read by the coordinator. This is part of the programme, and all participants and parents are told in advance.
We delete data on request. We do not accept applications from anyone under 13.
